This year for Patek Philippe´s 175th Anniversary we have to wait (even longer) 65 days and a few hours … - until we can see (all) the novelties they have under their sleeves.

Last year Patek Philippe introduced more than 40 debuts (minor & bigger ones), which was already quite impressive.

For sure in at Baselworld 2014 Patek Philippe new watches will be introduced and some references will be “out of production” (afterwards). It was and still is like this – good or bad smile

There are no official announcements so far and for sure we at PuristSPro will stick to the embargos from Patek Philippe. Still I will try my best to show you everything as soon as possible and I promise as much live pictures as I am able to do – even when I can´t get them all in the first step, probably.

Nonetheless for now I would like to ask you about your expectations, wishes and dreams … about what could/should come in such a special year.

Looking forward to your thoughts and even more to the novelties!

Oliver

About the Patek Philippe Complications Ref. 175thcollection

The Patek Philippe 175th Anniversary Collection, launched in 2014, comprises a series of highly complex and limited-edition timepieces created to commemorate the manufacture's significant milestone. This collection showcases Patek Philippe's mastery across various horological disciplines, featuring a diverse array of complications and artistic crafts. Each model within the collection represents a distinct facet of the brand's heritage and technical prowess, designed for discerning collectors.

The collection includes models with a variety of precious metal cases, such as rose gold, white gold, and platinum, with dimensions and thicknesses varying significantly depending on the specific reference. Movements are exclusively mechanical, encompassing both manual-winding and automatic calibers, many of which are newly developed or highly modified for these special editions. Sapphire crystals are universally employed, and water resistance ratings vary by model, reflecting their specific design and intended function.

This anniversary collection appeals to collectors seeking exceptional examples of contemporary haute horlogerie and significant pieces within Patek Philippe's modern history. The limited production numbers and the complexity of the movements ensure their continued relevance in the secondary market. The collection includes a wide spectrum of complications, from world timers and chronographs to grand complications, offering a varied selection for different collecting interests.

With Lange it is the brand I'm the more excited about (and De Bethune). I'm happy to hear the 175th A. novelties will be announced in 65 days, I thought it was in October ? Even if finally 175 is not really a big date as a date with a "0" (decade) would be more symbolic. But who cares, the important matter is that we get exceptional novelties. I've been really thinking about these lately and here is where I landed to. I want a chrono but I'm not really satisfied with the 5170 case that I find, t

would be fantastic. I'm just wearing my 5170G and such a watch would make a fantastic addition. I expect that there will be a replacement to 215 and that 240 caliber will be replaced by 260. Best, Kari
