jrwong23 recounts a memorable gathering in Paris with fellow WatchProSite moderators Fx and Nicolas, highlighting the camaraderie and shared passion for watches. This post captures the essence of community within luxury watch collecting, demonstrating how online connections translate into real-world friendships and shared experiences.
I was very happy to catch up with Fx and Nicolas last night in Paris.
A few drinks, a few watches, some very traditional Parisian dinner and lots of friendship!
I felt it was an honor to meet both Francois-Xavier and Nicolas (Nico and I just met in Singapore 2 weeks ago too).
After all, they are 2 of the best writers of watches on the internet and it was thru their articles (and Google search) that brought me to PuristSPro, read more here, started posting and with their encouragements and warm welcome, started posting more and more and then joined the moderators' team.
I felt like a young padawan meeting 2 Jedi masters together ! Thank you Fx and Nico for your time, sharing and friendship.
If you ask me, Fx was like a Paris mayor. Extremely well dressed and polite and spoke very gently.
Nicolas... Was as usual his funny Vlad style. Dressed very casually, very relaxed and jokes non stop.
I thoroughly enjoyed your company, my 2 special friends from Paris and I hope to see you again soon.
Some pics to share on our gtg. Hope to meet more PuristS overseas next time I travel. Always a pleasure to meet watch friends from other countries.
Enjoy!
Cheers
Robin

Even if the weather was not so good, it looks like an October weather... but the most important was the ability to share our passion about watches! I'm honoured to look like a Paris Mayor even if current one is a woman! LOL! ;) Now, let's hope that I will be able to meet you in Asia! Enjoy the next days of your stay in Europe! Fx
Short Time... But that is what our website is made for. Friends.... I love a lot your first pictures. They sum quite well our love for watches, and their diversity. You have talent for that! All the best, Robin, and keep the good work on Montblanc and Watchprosite coming! Nicolas

... about that Swedish Dracula ! ;-)
What a great report, watches, good food, friendship, perfect :-) Regards, Ronald
