Mike1111's post from 2012 offers a rare glimpse into two exceptional Panerai Radiomir models, highlighting their distinct features. His detailed photographs bring to life these seldom-seen timepieces, providing valuable visual documentation for collectors. This thread remains relevant for understanding Panerai's historical innovations and design variations.
The PAM349 represents Panerai's Radiomir Titanium series in a substantial 47mm case size. This reference utilizes titanium construction throughout both case and bezel components, distinguishing it from steel variants within the Radiomir lineup.
The brushed titanium case measures 47mm in diameter with a polished titanium bezel providing material contrast. A 1.9mm sapphire crystal protects the dial, while water resistance extends to 100 meters. The watch operates on Panerai's Calibre OP XXVII movement.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking titanium construction in a large-format Panerai. The 47mm case size positions it for those preferring substantial wrist presence, while the titanium materials offer reduced weight compared to equivalent steel models. The PAM349 serves collectors focused on material variations within the Radiomir Titanium series.
As for the Independant, yes, that is a cool one! Always loved it. Best and thanks for sharing these great pictures. Nicolas
please forgive my atrocious error. and thanks nicolas !
and was very...VERY close to buying one, when on offer at a dealer in Singapore, a while back. it's the first time I see the 387. What a pity, though, the "seconds" really do a number to the dial. Ciao - Sergio
I was wondering what was bothering me about the cali dial and couldn't figure it out. Of course, it was looking me straight in the face thanks to Nicolas pointing it out for me. The small seconds at 9 o'clock on the dial. Does not suit the dial if you want my humble opinion. Best regards, George
d... Wonderfuls pics!
a picture from fellow owner. Out of curiousity, what was the difference in LIST price between this & PAM262: Platinum 47mm california?
