rnaden's return to Panerai with the Radiomir PAM 753 highlights the enduring appeal of the brand's classic designs and its competitive value proposition. This article explores why collectors, even after years away, find themselves drawn back to Panerai, particularly noting the perceived value of their in-house movements and extended warranties. rnaden's personal experience serves as a compelling case study for re-evaluating established brands in a dynamic market.

Been a long time since I have had a PAM in my collection. Added this in yesterday and it is reminding me of why it needs to stay in there.

Realised that Panerai pricing is also very reasonable for their watches, and what was asked by the boutique here in Kuala Lumpur for this 753, even with the “upgraded” movement, was ahead of my expectations. And then there’s the 8 year warranty!!

I notice that the hollowed out numerals are much deeper in these than the newer ones.

You’re right. After about 18 years, getting that feel is not as easy anymore. As for the dog, thanks He is a cheeky one too

The Radiomir case was always very appealing. I had a few back in the day, my favourite being the 45mm case although these days I think I’d opt for a smaller case.
