About the Panerai Radiomir California 3 Days Ref. PAM424

The PAM424 represents Panerai's Radiomir California 3 Days series in a substantial 47mm case configuration. This reference combines the California dial layout with the brand's three-day power reserve movement platform, positioning it within Panerai's steel sports watch offerings.

The polished steel case measures 47mm in diameter and houses the manufacture Calibre P.3000 movement. The watch features a 2.8mm sapphire crystal and polished steel bezel construction. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters, with the case materials and crystal providing durability for daily wear.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking Panerai's larger case proportions combined with the California dial configuration. The 47mm sizing and polished steel construction place the PAM424 among Panerai's more substantial steel offerings, suitable for those preferring the brand's traditional oversized aesthetic with the distinctive numeral layout that defines the California series.

Tough call but no date would be my preference

They made a non date 424 too, although not the most desirable execution of the cali dial. I would personally go 425 or 210 over these two.

Thans for your response. I'd much appreciate if you please elaborate something about these two. I've give a choice between these two. California dial seems to be collectible Panerai..

Date on a cali = sacrilege

Will be the overwhelming response from Panerai owners. Bottom line: if you want a date there are better options, if you want a cali there are also better options, leaves the date 424 in a niche position but if you don't care and it makes you happy then go for it. The 8 days inscription on the dial is a bit superfluous in my honest opinion (I had a 562) and while it's a great movement I personally prefer wired lugs with sandwich dial and the old eta, hence 210.

Thanks. I didn't know about date abhorrence with Paneristis.

610 is a sandwich dial and with wired lugs as I understand. Thanks again for your opinion. Regards

As a Paneristi, I will tell you this

I am the owner of 424 date. It is a beautiful watch, but with time you'll get pissed about date window. Yes, it's functional, but I suggest you the one without date. I hate the fact Panerai stamp "8 days" on the dial. Once I see "automatic" or "8 days" sign I turn away. Both of your choices are not the best. Go for a free-of-everything dials.

Noted Sir. Thanks I'll keep your observation in mind.

Just for curiosity sake, how big your 424 is on wrist. What's size of your wrist? Thanks again for helping me. Regards
