Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Panerai PAM 40, a titanium Grade 2 model from the Vendome era that, despite not being officially limited, proved exceptionally difficult to acquire. His original post highlights the watch's distinctive black dial and its historical significance alongside the PAM 36, offering a glimpse into a period that captivated many collectors. This article delves into why this particular reference remains a topic of fascination among Paneristi.

Of course also the 36 😉
Was the fact that these were 44mm instead of 47mm of significance to you? Certainly, 44mm wears better, but I’ve noticed comments over the years regarding certain models where people preferred a 47mm size. Not sure if this is for ‘authenticity’ or other reasons.🤔
That's a great Panerai. Simple. Effective. Just enough!
...but not a fan of the crown guard unless it is very waterproof...is it?
that had some water resistance not like some of today’s wimps😉
So, I used to love the 44mm first, then the 47mm. No problem with that.
