Nicolas (amanico) brings to light the Panerai PAM 373, a Radiomir reference that, despite its striking aesthetics and historical homage, often gets overshadowed by other models like the PAM 721. His post invites collectors to revisit this platinum tribute to the original Ref. 2533, prompting a deeper look into its design and significance within Panerai's heritage. This article explores why the PAM 373, with its Caliber P.3000, deserves renewed attention from the collecting community.

Here is the PAM 373, a Radiomir we don't often discuss, as it seems that the PAM 721 stole the show.

Pretty nice looking, in my opinion.

And its Cal P 3000.

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

About the Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Platino Ref. PAM373

The PAM373 represents the Radiomir 3 Days Platino within Panerai's Radiomir 3 Day series, distinguished by its platinum case construction. This reference occupies a position in the brand's lineup characterized by precious metal casing and the three-day power reserve complication.

The watch features a 47mm polished platinum case with matching polished platinum bezel. A 2.8mm Plexiglass crystal protects the dial, while water resistance extends to 100 meters. The timepiece operates on the Calibre P.3000 movement, providing the three-day power reserve functionality that defines this series.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking platinum construction within the Radiomir collection. The 47mm case size and precious metal composition position the PAM373 as a substantial piece within the three-day lineup. The combination of platinum materials and the P.3000 calibre creates a specific variant for those prioritizing precious metal cases in their Panerai collecting.

of course. The "platinum" factor, though, relegated this beautiful model to...oblivion. Out of reach, out of sight type of scenario :-(

and has 2 fundamental differences (apart from the actual metal): 1) It has no "maiale" on the dial. 2) It has a spectacular tobacco dial. The 373 is, by far, my favourite remake of the original 2533 model and the 449, would be on my wrist if I were a "Non Mortal". I find the "maiale" on the 425 unpalatable I found an old picture, just to give you an idea...

I have a PAM 376 which came out the same year. The 373 is my grail watch.

unknown. The original number of pieces was supposed to be 99 and the cost MONUMENTALLY lower than the one it was sold for, in the end. The production suffered also a hefty delay. The price went up twice, while the model was being produced and the number of pieces, followed the same route. My guess (uneducated) is that the original budget has been badly...botched...by some bean-counter that had not taken into consideration that the price of platinum could go up and up and up. So, almost 1 year af
