for it's tobacco dial and the 4 lines, I've never had any feeling whatsoever for the 40. Had the chance to buy it, a couple of times, but just wasn't interested. To me, the 40, it's just the titanium version of the 001 (sorry Nico). I've just had a look at the PAM1116...on line...and thanks but NO thanks. The sunbrushed green dial, it's rather interesting (if you like green), but the Automatic, the date and the 9 WITH the seconds counter, on a 44mm dial, just don't do it for me. If I want a busy
