His post delves into the reference 165.070, produced between 1964 and 1968, and its connection to earlier 'Rail Road official standard' models. This article synthesizes community insights, offering a deeper understanding of this rare and historically significant Omega reference.

And this watch, the Omega I mean, had to be discontinued because the story says that Ball sued Omega. So, according to what I think, Omega made it for only one year. Good watch to have, my friend. Best, Nicolas
I’m hoping to catch the owner soon 😜🤔
So the 165.070 is a rare Omega railmaster. 1 year production. Ball could not live with it, and see where Omega is today. Interesting to see both of the watches, the similarity.
impressive isn’t it ?!
with comes of the RR standards. Manny train accidents happen in the USA a long time ago when machinists and conductors wore watches which where highly decorated, dials with complex roman numbers, and last but least bad movement’s which were not that accurate. So when you are a machinist, do not wear a regulator while at work.
