ZSHSZ's hands-on review of the white dial Omega Speedmaster Professional offers a crucial collector's perspective on a highly anticipated release. His detailed observations, particularly regarding the bracelet and movement, provide invaluable insights for potential buyers navigating the current market. This article synthesizes community reactions to help readers understand the nuances of this modern Speedmaster.

Needless to say, I liked the watch on press photos and I still think that after the clouds clear up, in a year or two I might get one so here’s my humble opinion

The dial is very appealing, superb legibility, much better than the Daytona due to the monochromatic dial, I also like the red touch, stolen from the Daytona(debatable), on the wrist, the fit is perfect no issues, the display case-back is also a nice touch, but as of late I don’t really care about this option, specifically on this relatively speaking machine finished movements.
The pusher feel is great, at list for my tastes, I prefer a bit of “firmness” on the action, versus the “buttery smooth” action of let’s say Lange, but that’s just me..
I also like that this caliber supposed to be more accurate than the previous one and the most important addition is the “hacking seconds”!
Now, the clasp and bracelet on the other hand is a disaster, considering the price, since in my experience a cheap Mall watch has equal if not better quality bracelet(I mean it)!
A forty year old Jubilee looks tighter than this brand new one on this watchwink
If I’ll ever pull the trigger and buy it with my own real money, I will definitely opt for the rubber strap.
Availability, as for the sales rep. roughly six months with a deposit! Say what??? No thanks

In closing, I took a couple of quick photos to suport my opinion, but curious about others experiences

Have a great Friday and weekend friends!

Yes, the links are somewhat 'free-flowing' but note the original bracelet is extremely long, and links are narrow. This is just physics. Of course a short oyster will be tighter. The bracelet end pieces are much better than the previous ones are are really giving a square look to the watch. As for the watch itself, it is a beauty and legibility is *cough* even better than on the historic Speedy

And probably you’re right on the “better than the previous one”, but to me no matter how we slice it, or attempt to unsee it, it’s not on par with what it should be. It’s definitely flimsy and I seriously doubt, that this bracelet will last three decades with regular use, regardless of sizing! Have a great weekend!đŸ„‚

Looking at the pictures, it seems a disproportionate in relation to the 42mm case size.

But, have kind of lost interest in it. I abhor the bracelet. I don’t like it from any angle, but, on my wrists, it looks dainty as it tapers
which makes it an ainty 😂 See what I did there? 😂 But, seriously, I hate these newer bracelets, had it on my Speedmaster and could not get it off fast enough. I prefer the good old fashioned moon watch, and other than a couple of variations, they are not for moi.

but wouldn’t this piece look badass on a white rubber Omega strap?

For some reason I never caught the bug, but two models are interesting. I had really high hope for this one, but now it’s not a must have. And yes, the old style bracelets are superior in my books as wellâ€ŠđŸ„‚
