When it was introduced, i don't think that speedy was offered on a bracelet. I remember it in the catalog on a brown strap. I wish I was 50 2 decades ago. hahaha!

Supposedly this was the last one in Omega's inventory. Took the salesperson a while to find and was shipped in to the boutique near me. Cheers!

. . . and in production for several years. Not a limited edition, more like limited production. Can't remember when Omega stopped producing them, but it would've been around 2012 judging by lack of availability ~ 2013/14. A few folks around here are owners, if memory serves correct. Essentially identical to a Professional other than dial color. Subdued in comparison to other Speedy variations . . . more for the purist (small 'p') than the adventurous. Congrats on both! As you well say, it was a model for purists as you say which was some kind of tribute to the tropical vintage originals. I viewed it for first time at the Free Shop of our local International Airport but I couldn´t fund it on that occasion. ... modern versions of the classic Speedmaster. It´s a shame it was discontinued so fast. It seems it was not very popular among potential buyers who preferred the black dial version.
