Jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) shares his excitement for a significant acquisition: the Omega Speedmaster 60th Anniversary. This post captures the personal milestones that often accompany such luxury watch purchases, offering a relatable glimpse into a collector's journey. His first Omega, this Speedmaster marks both a 40th birthday and a new career chapter, making it a particularly meaningful addition to his collection alongside a recent Everose Daytona.

Too many Omega Vlads here and I can’t resist lol

Was thinking of an excuse to get one more watch so soon after my Everose Daytona ... so my reason is I have 2 things to celebrate so I can get 2 watches ,  no ? Lol

Upcoming birthday in Apr (40th so the Everose Daytona to mark my transition into an old Uncle lol) and a new work project/ career - which I think this Speedy is well suited to mark this milestone smile this is my first Omega too. Never bought one before.

Some pics to share. Not well taken as I was in a rush. Will take more pics and share soon.

Cheers
Robin

with soon achieving these milestones. I have one 60th speedy reserved for me in another country because they were all sold out here (it's gonna be likely my first Omega too). I actually started reading more about this particular model once i got confirmation 1 month ago from the AD i could get one. However, i missed that email until i saw it yesterday. The OB said to me today...you better check if they still have it and they do...so I am good for now. Enjoy this and your Daytona!!! Kind regards,

Robin, So keen to share that we can still see the shopping bag from the retailer? Congratulations for getting a Speedmaster for no reason at all! My Speedie would say "Hello" except that it's too cold here to go and get it for a photoshoot....brrrrrr. Regards, MTF
