Subexplorer shares his excitement about the arrival of the Omega Trilogy 60th Anniversary Edition, a collection that meticulously recreates three classic Omega designs. He discusses his initial impressions, particularly his decision to swap the original steel bracelets for leather straps to enhance the vintage aesthetic and reduce wrist weight.
Finally my Omega Trilogy arrived!
It took so many months but wait was well worth it!! Speedy, Railmaster and Seamaster 300 60th Anniversary Limited Edition is as good as it gets.
A fantastic recreation of three classic and timeless designs by Omega!
Each watch was equipped with the SS bracelet which as strong and well designed they are they felt so βheavyβ both visually and in weight.
So I changed them for some leather straps I had at hand which add to the vintage look of these watches and make them feel lighter on the wrist.
I feel Omega made a great job in recreating these historic watches.
Iβm happy to share some first shots I took of them in haste.
Cheers! Abel.

The Seamaster 300 reference is a re-edition that draws inspiration from Omega's historical dive watches. It is characterized by its robust construction and design elements that pay homage to early professional timepieces, while incorporating modern watchmaking advancements. This reference is positioned as a contemporary interpretation for enthusiasts who appreciate vintage aesthetics combined with current performance standards.
This particular Seamaster 300 features a stainless steel case, typically measuring 41 mm in diameter. It is equipped with an automatic movement, often a Master Co-Axial caliber, providing a substantial power reserve. The watch is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal, contributing to its vintage appearance while offering enhanced scratch resistance. Its construction ensures a high degree of water resistance suitable for aquatic activities.
For collectors, this reference appeals to those seeking a blend of historical design and modern technical specifications. It represents Omega's commitment to its heritage while offering a reliable and well-engineered timepiece. The Seamaster 300 is a significant part of the brand's contemporary collection, offering a distinct alternative to other models within the Seamaster family.
Wonderful dials and watches. All the best, Alex
Best wishes Alkiro PS: I like your Omega knife case opener
Huge congratulations....3 strikes in 1 go! Rgds Raymond
A torturous wait, but should prove to be worth it. Let us know your favorite, I am very interested which one you like best and why.
I guess you've bought them separately, if so, nice move. To me they look much better without the unnecessary TRILOGY lettering on the dial. I'm more than happy with my Seamaster 300, I'm wearing it on a Tropic style strap and it feels great on the wrist. The 39 mm case is perfect for me. Enjoy them Vte
... is a very faithful repro with an incredible high dome crystal which rivals the vintage models. The Speedy is superbly made too. Glad you like them! Cheers! Abel
