Blomman Mr Blue shares his hands-on experience with a friend's Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, providing initial impressions and detailed photographs. His post highlights key features of this robust dive watch, inviting fellow Omega enthusiasts to discuss its appeal and characteristics.
Hello Omega fans!
Just wanted to share some SM pics with you.
This weekend I had a chance to play with my friend’s new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean.

Hour, minute, seconds, date, helium escapement valve and screw down crown.

WR down to 600m/2000ft and chronometer!

42mm case and co-axial escapement system.

So, what did I think about the watch?
A very pleasant experience!
It felt sold and robust without loosing in elegance and history.
History from the 50ties – designwise: SM 300 late 50ties.
If it had been the non orange version it would have been even clearer!
In my thinking Bond should wear an AMVOX… To go with the car… (sorry)
But, maybe he got a point – sticking to Omega!
Best

PS. Sorry, forgot to take a wristshot…
Have had mine for some time, and though originally an orange bezel, I recently swapped it out for the black for a change of pace. Here it was before.
and I actually like the orange. I am really in favor of orange these days. Best regards, George PS. How could you have forgot a wrist shot???
I must say I like the orange numbers and second hand. You know me – I like strong colours… But, I prefer the black bezel – looks stronger, IMO. Thank you for the before and after pics, Sank! Best Blomman
But if we include vintage – the Holy trinity…! Especially the SM… I bided on an early RM last year but the price when out of my league… It was in beautiful condition. Sorry I forgot the WS – probably the cold had got to my brain… Best Blomman
Thank you, Imran! Best Blomman
