Nilomis shares his acquisition of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra >15,000 Gauss, a watch he had been anticipating since its release. He provides personal photos and notes on his experience, including his preference for straps over bracelets and his intention to test the watch's magnetic resistance in his daily work environment. This post highlights the practical appeal of Omega's anti-magnetic technology for collectors.

Team,

Our dear Art "made me to do it".

In fact I was "dating" this watch since it was released but I never was able to manage my watch funds to get it.

My favorite buyers/seller took two pieces (that I never dare to show here - I don't want to banned!!) and ...

Here is my Seamaster Aqua Terra >15.000 (or >15,000 on some places that mix up the dot with the comma) Gauss.

1) First, one with my Caravaggio lights.

2) Normal light:

3) B&W for our friend Damjan:

Few notes:

1) Yes, I got it with the metal bracelet (that was removed by the Boutique friends - I don't do SS bracelets but who knows?).

2) I'm waiting for my official Omega band but this one from Italy (IMHO) fits nicely.

3) I plan to challenge Omega's technology on a day to day basis. Since I work with computers, I live submerged by somehow strong magnetic fields. That's the reason that of my watchmaker gifts was a device that I believe it's called "demagnetizer".

4) I review will be on the works, as soon I finish some others that are almost done.

Before I finish, I want to say a very warm thank you to all members of the Omega Boutique (yes, there is one here) that made this acquisition a pleasure.

Cheers,

Nilo

About the Omega Seamaster Ref. 15000Gauss

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,000 Gauss was a significant release, showcasing Omega's advancements in anti-magnetic technology. It represented a new benchmark for resistance to magnetic fields in mechanical watches, a common challenge for horological precision. This model was part of the broader Aqua Terra collection, known for its versatile design suitable for both formal and casual wear.

The watch features a stainless steel case, often paired with a matching bracelet or a leather strap. It houses an automatic co-axial movement, specifically engineered to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, far exceeding previous industry standards. The movement incorporates non-ferrous materials in critical components, ensuring its performance in highly magnetic environments.

For collectors, this reference is notable for its pioneering anti-magnetic capabilities and its contribution to the evolution of watchmaking technology. It demonstrates Omega's commitment to innovation and practical utility, making it a historically relevant piece within the brand's modern catalog.

My few JLC are here to stay and I dont own any GP. I'm trying to focus my "stable", by limiting the brands to less than five (Omega, IWC, JLC, Panerai and Seiko). I keep a "working set" of few ones that a friend here call "cats", that are my "watch money". Someday I will share my method, that I learned with this dear friend. Cheers, Nilo

I keep all JLC and you get a modern Omega (The Seamaster 300 Master was made for you). Deal? Cheers, Nilo
