Hi,

I need advice and valuation on this (looking to buy this one...).
Does everything look legit? Seller claims dial is untouched.
14k Seamaster OJ 2518 with 343 movement. Says here that only 5000 pieces were ever made (first year of seamaster watches?).

Almost identical to this (this one is 18k with slightly different dial?):

What do you think? Any advice and suggestions are welcome!

. . . and incorrect at that, but otherwise, original and authentic. Funny - I just recently posted that this reference was on my front burner! Enviously, Art

How much do you think it's worth in this condition?

. . . as a matter of forum protocol, Dan. It's just not our way . Having said that, there are community experts here who can send you a private valuation; I hope they'll view this thread sooner rather than later, as it seems you're in the midst of negotiating for this Seamaster. Art

. . . the crown I'd expect would be the 'clover leaf', typical to Seamasters of the era. Here's an example . . . . . . of one from my collection. Art PS - I'll be sending you a private message shortly.
