Cookies' original post captures a heartwarming moment of familial connection through shared horology, sparking a discussion that delves into the nuances of watch aesthetics, comfort, and personal preference. This article explores how collectors view watch sizing and strap choices, particularly for larger timepieces, and the emotional resonance of watches within families. Cookies' initial post, featuring siblings wearing matching Omega watches in Singapore, serves as a charming entry point into these broader horological themes.

I went back to my hometown in Singapore.

Here, we are at Tiong Bahru Market, having a coffee.

Cool duo. I always liked this modern iteration of the Seamaster 300. The only small reserve is that the case is really thick. Other than that, reaaaaally cool piece.

It is indeed

For a time and seconds only model, it should be much thinner. Just made a sharkskin leather strap for it. The leather maker mentioned that a 21-16mm strap is very retro and many old Pateks have that strap width.

At the buckle, yes, I even saw 14 mm at the buckle for some Vintage JLC.

Hehe good one. I considered it as a companion piece to the railmaster 60th but realized i prefer the sm300 trilogy version :-)
