Subexplorer's post introduces a unique cultural celebration: 'Friend's Day' on July 20th, coinciding with the 1969 Moon Landing. This tradition, originating from a local dentist's vision, links global goodwill with human achievement. His personal reflection, accompanied by an Omega Speedmaster on his wrist, invites readers to consider the deeper connections between horology, history, and camaraderie.

Hopefully you connected with many old friends today.
Beautiful shot of a watch we love!! Cheers dear Mr and Mrs Scarlet!! Happy Day!!
… though regrettably not adopted Worldwide as the good dentist wished. Yes, I connected with many good friends along today though due to my work at office could not meet personally with any of them as it is the custom here. May be next year!! Happy Friends Day Jay!! Cheers! Abel
. . . but have been in . . . . . . a Railmaster mood lately. On my wrist for four consecutive days having gained a total of three seconds . . . good enough for NASA, and definitely good enough for No! Thanks for sharing memories, Abel. I remember exactly where I was when our three heroes returned fifty-four years ago, looking up at the night sky with a borrowed telescope and binoculars. Warmest, Art
Regards to Mrs Subexplorer.
It´s always a pleasure to remember that magical night viewing that arrival of these heroes to the Moon. The image quality was very bad but still we were fascinated with the view. We knew we were priviledged in watching a most important historical event for Humankind. A moving experience itwas and still is to remember it. How nice to imagine you, a young lad looking up the sky that night Art! Thank you so much for sharing. Feliz Dia del Amigo dear Art! Abel
