I have it from reliable sources that Croats generally consider everything South of them to be Balkans (but not themselves). In Slovenia itβs accepted wisdom that Croatia fully belongs but Slovenia not. Austrians generally consider Balkans to start at their Southern border - i.e. including Slovenia.
