SALMANPK's journey to acquiring the Louis Erard Vianney Halter First Collaboration offers a compelling narrative on the unpredictable nature of watch collecting. This article explores the unique appeal of this collaboration, highlighting how an unexpected encounter can rekindle a collector's passion for a long-sought-after timepiece. His experience underscores the emotional connection collectors often form with specific references, especially those with distinctive designs.

Almost Five Years Ago I saw this on the Forum

A friend of mine from the UAE and myself decided to order ours from Blue Salon in Qatar since there wasn't a Louis Erard AD in Kuwait, transferred the funds, we were assured our orders were locked in and started our wait in anticipation 😊, then posts where our Purists were receiving theirs started to appear, we wondered where are ours?

We were informed that we wouldn't be receiving our pieces and were given a refund. A Sad Story ☹️

So I forgot about it, moved on. This Past Saturday I randomly went into a watch store for the first time. I posted about it here:

Amongst the piles of watches from different brands they wanted to show me their Louis Erard pieces and there she was after 5 years the Louis Erard Vianney Halter First Collaboration in the Flesh. It is a very unique looking watch, there are elements of the steampunk pieces but also the deep space which gives it a further dimension as opposed to the second collaboration which is unmistakably a sibling of the VH Classic.

You forget about a watch you loved and when you unexpectedly come face to face with it the love comes flooding back.

I changed the blue strap to a green one, changes the look completely.

I have a history with green straps 😊

Thank You to the Wonderful Team at Hanif Watches in Lahore 🙏, my first watch in Pakistan 😊

Pity about the whole process though—something clearly went wrong there. Enjoy your watch—it looks great!

Some things are just meant to be! The watch suits your wrist despite its 42mm diameter which implies you have a proper wrist!

It was obviously a watch that was meant to find its way to you and I'm sure that the way it just came across your path after your initial disappointment of not getting it makes it even more special for you. Wear and enjoy it in good health. Marc
