GreatPilot@me.com, a prominent collector, shares his extraordinary experience acquiring two rare Vianney Halter timepieces directly from the master watchmaker. His post not only showcases his expanded collection, including a platinum Antiqua perpetual calendar and a Deep Space Tourbillon with purple accents, but also offers a rare glimpse into the personal connection and shared inspirations that define independent horology. This intimate account underscores the unique bond between collectors and the artisans who push the boundaries of watchmaking.

De Bethune DB25 Reference DB25
The DB25 represents De Bethune's entry in the 44.5mm manual-wind category, distinguished by its silver dial configuration within the DB25 series. This reference launched in 2006 and continues the brand's approach to contemporary haute horlogerie complications.
The 44.5mm case is crafted from 18k white gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. Water resistance extends to 30 meters. The manual-winding caliber DB2105 movement provides a substantial 120-hour power reserve. The watch features a leather strap attachment.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking De Bethune's technical approach to timekeeping in a precious metal case. The extended power reserve and manual-wind operation position it for enthusiasts who appreciate hands-on interaction with their timepieces. The 44.5mm sizing places it in contemporary proportions within the independent watchmaking segment.
Huge congratulations on your newest incoming and your breathtaking collection! I’ve had a Classic on my wishlist for years. I still hope fate smiles on me for that one
Along with the man himself, enjoy your Classic and I hope fate continues to smile on you…Jim
Two masterpieces that have no peers, Vianney continues to stand out amongst Independents - he doesn't care about trends and his designs feel really timeless. Thank you for sharing!
Really incredible pieces, I didn't even know the antiqua was made in platinum, it looks stunning! I love seeing works like this, truly grail level work produced from a singular and unique vision, congratulations 👏
He told me people made fun of him when he first introduced his Classic, believe me these watches where not cheap but Vianney did give me a great discount considering the prices on these today. A Classic recently sold at auction for $106K, maybe that will soften your regret…Jim
The other new creations are unique in their own right…Jim
