Sham1 highlights Moritz Grossmann's 10th-anniversary auction at Christie's, featuring 24 unique pieces, including new movements and collaborations. He shares his personal picks, emphasizing the brand's exceptional finishing, which he believes rivals A. Lange & Söhne. This post offers collectors a rare glimpse into Moritz Grossmann's special editions and their market presence.

Moritz Grossmann was founded in 2008 and celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The company has decided to issue 24 piece uniques of various models including some with brand new movements. Twenty four to me seems like a lot for a company the size of Moritz Grossmann that produces no more than 400 watches a year. Nevertheless, the company does produce some of the best finished watches in Glashutte (and I am including A. Lange & Sohne in this list!) To make matters more interesting, these watches are being auctioned by Christies on its online auction which ends on 10 December and this is reputedly the largest collection of new watches ever auctioned. Moritz Grossmann has made sure that there is something for everyone and here is my personal pick of some of the watches on offer. For those of you who have always wanted a beautifully finished piece unique watch, feast your eyes on these gems which might be more affordable than you think!  smile

This for me is their most beautiful watch. A 37mm Atum with an enamel dial

It comes as a set with a Moritz Grossmann pocket watch with a similar enamel dial.

The 41mm Atum Schaffo, a collaboration between Moritz Grossmann and the iconic Swiss watchmaker and designer Christophe Schaffo. Amazing hand engraved skeleton work in a brand new movement

Beautiful hand engraved Tefnut dial in 36mm

The original Benu was limited to 100 pieces and were all sold out. Well not quite because this is Number One which was held back by the company. Simplicity at its best!

Mine is the top bid so far but I expect more activity on the last day of the auction and I am not sure if I will be able to keep up with the competition. I will try

I would have liked it even without the pocket watch which just bumps up the price!! Less than four long days to go!!!
