Dear all,

as I have not read anything about it here,
I tough I would share the news and benefit from you comments.

Montblanc has launched an initiative to support UNICEF to help children learn how to write; as part of the initiative MB has launched special editions of pens, leather goods and watches.
2 are the recurring themes of the special editions:
-Blu: as the colour of UNICEF logo
-Letters in different languages: inspired partly to the Rosetta Stone and partly to the first letters children learn how to write

Specifically regarding the Orbis Terrarum Unicef, based on the 4810, the differences with the stock model are:
-"Unicef blu" instead of black leather strap
-Geneva, instead of Hamburg, as GMT+1 city
-Unicef logo stamped (?) on the trasparent back case
-limited edition to 500 with Latin characters and 500 with Chinese

Personally I was attracted by the first Orbis Terrarum, even more by the 4810, and even more by this UNICEF edition, but I would like to hear Purists opinion.

This dial is borrowed to the bigger Orbis Terrarum, as the 41 mm O.T uses this dial. Which is funny is that I remember a conversation with the MB Team... We suggested the colorful dial of the bigger version in the 41 mm version. They did it for a noble cause... I am happy to see that. Cool watch, great cause. Bravo. Nicolas
