After the Montblanc Heritage Manufacture Pulsograph I recently reviewed, I wanted to show you something a bit older, which I suspect to be from the Frey's era, before the brand was bought by Gnutti and Co, so before the year 2000. I bought this watch (on this site actually) from William Massena. This is from the very short era right after it was sold by Frey and re-imagined by Gnutti and Co. It has basically the same dial as this piece you've shown. I am fairly sure it's a vintage dial that they used at that time. But the finishing on the case, and movement are absolutely top-notch - much nicer than Minerva was before the Frey sale. It has a 13-20 in it as well. This dates from around 2002-2003. I have its WG brother. A beauty but I am a bit careful nowadays while I lost a pusher ones and a factory overhaul costs an arm and a leg. I know I have to add a picture, but the watch is in a save now. 🤪. Sorry
Btw looking at the price this watch sold for, it has to be an absolute bargain. :o
I see what all the fuss is about for Minerva!
And clearly an inspiration to the current line. But I have to say I prefer the 40mm size 👍🏻
