In a compelling exploration of the contemporary watch landscape, jlux challenges the prevailing notions of luxury and value, inviting readers to reconsider their perceptions of established brands. His original post delves into the burgeoning world of micro brands, presenting them as a refreshing alternative for collectors experiencing 'watch fatigue.' jlux spotlights several intriguing pieces, demonstrating how these smaller, independent brands are delivering exceptional design, craftsmanship, and horological interest without the premium price tag.

Like the three of them, especially the second piece. Always nice to find great value for the money.
From a horological and artisanal point of view they have long outgrown the typical micro-brand world characterized by complete outsourcing of parts, movements and assembly.
You sent me down the Heinrich rabbit hole with that watch, the dial color and material are beautiful and something as simple with the screw heads lining up on the dial, demonstrates attention to detail. The Awake dial is equally beautiful and I wasn’t aware of the lacquer process they go through. As an aside , I think the French have some really neat Microbrands. I for one like to support these companies and their creativity…keep it up! Here’s my contribution to your post- Studio Underd0g Salmon
I had these also already on my radar.
Micro brands are an excellent reminder you don’t need to spend a lot of money on a watch to get enjoyment from it. Mine are gone for now, but that will probably change in the future since the price point makes them super attractive and addicting -Halios Seaforth & Fairwind -Stowa Flieger Classic & Marine Original -Damasko DA36 -Laco Pilot Pro Dekla Flieger Archimede Pilot 39 H Sinn 556 B & E LE There are probably even more not included in above list!
Waiting for the perfect one may result in missing the many near perfect ones already available ).
