SJX's 2009 post documents the launch of the MB&F HM1 Final Editions Black and RS in Singapore, featuring an intimate dinner with Max Büsser. This article provides a valuable historical record of a pivotal moment for MB&F, marking the conclusion of their inaugural Horological Machine series and offering insights into the brand's early collector community and design philosophy.

Max Busser is in Singapore to unveil the new Horological Machine No. 1 Final Editions - Black and RS. Yesterday he and the local retailer, The Hour Glass, hosted a small dinner for a few guests to showcase the new timepieces.

Here are some images of the dinner, photos of the watches are in a follow-up post.

In a way I'm glad the chapter on the HM1 is finally closed (I hope!). Just my thoughts. As for the design, the combination of both the black and the gold versions are really nice. notorious watch pusher and Max at the usual place today. Max is a slick salesman also, but luckily I SURVIVED from being sandwiched by these 2 good watch pushers. I am very proud of my self-control today . I compared a Trio and MB&F2, and commented: "both are created by demented crazy genius, but one of them got a biz sense and the other just plain crazy." Max agreed . I also suggested Max to create a skeleton version of HM2, and he said he already created a piece unique for auction later this y
