There I was yesterday walking in London looking for the new FP Journe boutique when I saw this lovely clock displayed at the window of Asprey which was located next door.  My visit to FPJ lasted less than three minutes as I could not wait to turn back to Asprey to have a closer look at this delightful looking clock.  Much to my surprise, it was not only a clock but a quarter repeater and a grand sonnerie!  While having a closer look at the clock, my affection for it grew in leaps and bounds even though I was not looking for a clock. In fact, in a separate post three days ago, some of you might have seen my admiration for a Rolex day date in platinum which I had been seriously considering.  But this clock just blew me away and after an hour at Aprey, I decided to acquire it!

Thank you Ajas!

I think so too. A watch with similar complications might cost 100 times more!

Hahaha, hilarious post

Huge congratulations my friend. That is just lovely. I fully understand you falling in love. At first when I saw your post I was dreading something bad had happened. Phew ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ It doesnโ€™t happen often anymore that we see something in a window and then get to take it home immediately. I miss the good old times. Have fun with it. PS: Too bad you canโ€™t post a Journe wrist shot for FP Friday but I think the story qualifies it for a picture for FP Friday anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซถ

Hello Christian and thank you!

Yes it is indeed rare to find something wonderful that can be bought instantly these days but it just shows that if the timing is right and if Lady Luck is smiling at us, anything is possible! And for the record, I am on the waiting list for a 40mm Elegante at the Geneva boutique!

Thank you for saying so Christian!

I have been trained to wait for watches so 4 to 5 years is fine with me
