In fact I just read a Hodinkee article on this watch that makes reference to a vintage Longines pocket watch with a similarly engraved dial. So perhaps in this case the old saying is true that "There's nothing new under the sun."
This word i chosen to call the main function of the 190th anniversary Longines in steel. Strange from my side to call an anniversary watch a duty watch which can serve as a tool watch. A rugged everyday dresser which must only point the right time. This to keep your Vacheron Constantin, JLC, and Patek Philippe more for formal situations. So the golden models are a bit odd for a tool watch. But i will go for them. I know what i can get from Longines, and in about 10 years i will reserve a 200 yea

The steel model looks good here. Although I feel the two precious metals will likely look even nicer because they appear to have better contrast. The lugs looks abit on the long side from the pics. How does it wears on the wrist?
