AnthonyTsai introduces the Linde Werdelin SpidoLite II Titanium Red, the second release in a new series for December 2012. This limited edition of 75 pieces showcases Linde Werdelin's signature skeletonized titanium case, engineered for weight reduction and high-altitude sports. AnthonyTsai highlights the watch's striking red dial, black DLC details, and the custom-made LW 04 caliber by Concepto, emphasizing its blend of robust functionality and distinctive aesthetics.

SpidoLite II Titanium Red is the second series of the new family of three released in December 2012. Limited to 75 piece, this new addition presents a striking red dial with black DLC details.

SpidoLite II Titanium Red

The second addition to the SpidoLite II series of three

The original skeletonised titanium case construction, produced with weight reduction technology, makes this piece ideal for high altitude sports experience. The outer case and certain facets have undergone microbillé and satin finish, while the inner case, crown and screws have undergone black DLC treatment.

The dial consists of two skeletonized layers. The Côtes de Genève lower dial carries the LINDE WERDELIN logo.

The upper dial bears the red and luminova indexes, the numerals of the seconds' sub-dial at 9 o'clock and the date function.

The numerals of the skeletonised black calendar wheel have been amplified, enhancing date readability. The laser-cut date disk blends with the dial and the titanium and satin finish hands.

The LW 04, caliber 2251, powers the SpidoLite II Titanium Red, custom-made by Concepto; independent movement manufacture based in La Chaux de Fonds. The movement is visible through the dial as well as through the sapphire crystal case-back. On the front and back of the movement it's finished with a circular perlage and engraved with the Spido logo.

The black rotor bears a red LINDE WERDELIN icon.

All the screws in the movement are blued steel and have been implemented because of their high anti-corrosion properties and to enhance the beauty of the movement. The result is achieved with a slow and cautious heating process.

SpidoLite II Titanium Red is available in a limited series of 75 pieces, retailing at CHF 10,700 exclusive of VAT, from December 2012 from any LW authorized retailer in local currency and on LindeWerdelin.com om.

I like the skeletonization of the dial, which creates depth, and the way that the date wheel gets progressively more legible until the date is displayed in the aperture at 3 o'clock. And that skeletonized case design after repeated exposure has really grown on me; kudos to LW for evolving the design. And titanium is the perfect case material for a sports watch of this size. Nice. because their dials have a lot of depth which is difficult to capture in a picture. Cheers, Anthony
