Official and very cool photo, I must say.

Watch by A.Lange & Söhne, Grand Lange 1, Lumen, A. Lange and Söhne, Zeitwerk, Zeitwerk Lumen, 140.035

My favorite among these 3? The Moon phase. I find that it is the more consistent one, in the Lumen series.

Best,

About the A. Lange and Söhne Grand Lange 1 Ref. 140.035

The A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 reference 140.035 represents a significant evolution within the Lange 1 family, distinguished by its enlarged proportions while maintaining the signature off-center dial layout. This particular reference is notable for its luminous elements, a feature less common across the broader Lange 1 collection, offering enhanced legibility in low-light conditions. It retains the classic aesthetic codes of the brand, presenting a harmonious balance between traditional watchmaking and contemporary sizing preferences. The Grand Lange 1 series caters to collectors who appreciate the distinctive design language of the Lange 1 but prefer a larger presence on the wrist.

This timepiece features a white gold case, measuring 40.9mm in diameter, which houses the manually wound L095.2 caliber. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, showcasing the brand's meticulous finishing, including Glashütte ribbing, blued screws, and hand-engraved balance cock. The substantial power reserve of 72 hours ensures reliable timekeeping over an extended period. The front crystal is also made of sapphire, providing durability and clarity to the dial.

As part of the luminous series, this reference appeals to collectors seeking a practical yet refined daily wear option from A. Lange & Söhne. Its larger size distinguishes it from the original Lange 1, offering a more contemporary fit without sacrificing the brand's established design principles. The inclusion of a moon phase complication further enhances its appeal, adding both aesthetic charm and astronomical functionality to the watch.

+1

Sportiest looking by far in this group, to me seems more apt with lume.

For me, the more " apt " is the moon phase. Its complication deserved a lumen treatment more than the two others.

So, another vote for the poor moon phase? ;)
