Well...it has been a wait of almost 8 months. Two days ago, I was golfing at Mission Hills when I suddenly received a call from Patrick, the Boutique Manager, breaking me the good news. Naturally, the distraction caused me a double bogey on that very hole, which did nothing to bother me at all smile

Here it is (as many moderators pointed out, the Lumen is a very difficult piece to shoot, especially with my pathetic photography skills):

Apart from the regular box and packaging, it also comes with a more slender container - easy to carry when I am traveling. How thoughtful...

A closer look at the dial. The watch is part of the 2013 debut collection, and is built on the iconic Grand Lange 1. It is housed in a platinum case, 40.9 mm in diameter. Only 200 pieces were made, sold exclusively at Lange's 11 boutiques around the world.

The semi-transparent dial (a la Zeitwerk Phantum) gives the watch a contemporary look. The special coating on the bial blocks most of the light but still enables the manually applied perlage visible to the owner. In fact, the cross-shaped tens digit in white is designed to glow through the sapphire units disc.

Like most Lange watches, the watch is distinguished by an out-sized date. The hours, minute, seconds and chapter ring are all made of blackened silver, and the absence of the second barel makes the case thinner.

The manually wound movement (L095.2), containing 400 parts, is the same as those in use with other Grand Lange 1s. It has a power reserve of 72 hours.

Some mandatory wrist shots:

Notice how the light and angle changes the color of the dial...

Sitting side by side with other ALS brothers:

Once again, I must apologize for the poor quality photos but I hope you like this attractive, cool and funky watch, just like I do.

LOVE the Wempe LE -- every time I see a pic of that watch...

... it warms my heart. Lange hit a home run with that watch!

+1 on the Wempe. A watch which tempted me more than once.

But which I didn't take because it shares the same movementr than the Anniversary. When it comes to Lange, I have a rule: One Watch, one movement. And I prefer the Anniversary. But what a delicious Watch! Best, Nicolas.

Congratulations !

Hi, Enjoy it in best of health and do send some daily wrist shots as i agree its not an easy piece to shoot. I'll be getting mine in 3 weeks as advised by the Lange boutique in Dubai. However i just wonder where can we wear this piece? I have a luminous zeitwerk and it gets very limited wrist time during day time and has ended up being a party watch. What's your say? Do share some thoughts as i want to know from other owners having same pieces. Thanks, Ovais P.S. I wouldnt have mind a triple bog

IMO, the Lumen is much more wearable than the Zeitwerk

The Zeitwerk is a big watch and if you wear a shirt and suit, it gets in the way. The Lumen, on the other hand, is just like any Grand Lange 1. Both the size and weight are perfect. The best part about it is its sublety - it is not like a big chunk of metal sitting on the wrist which attracts a lot of attention. People not familiar with watches will hardly notice it....It is one of those few watches that can be a dress and casual watch at the same time. PP's 5960 and 5712 fall into the same cate

Sam, This is a stunning addition to your fantastic collection. I saw it in the metal at watches and wonders... superb. Hope you enjoy it very much. Best, OpC
