Sc16 provides an update on his search for a ladies' watch, detailing recent visits to boutiques with his wife to try on various two-tone bracelet watches. This follow-up post, 'Ladies watch options - part Deux,' shares her preferences and challenges in finding a piece that fits her petite wrist and budget, including unexpected positive outcomes from brands initially dismissed.

I thought it would be good to give you all an update considering that you have as always put in efforts to come up with thoughts and suggestions. I was trying to edit my existing post, but unfortunately could not, so adding new post or if the moderator can add in the existing post, that would be great as well. So part Deux of this search (part 1 here www.watchprosite.com ).

As mentioned, she is looking for a two tone bracelet watch with a case size up to max 36 mm (which apparently is already big for her). So past weekend, we strapped on our shoes (well she strapped on her heels) and went looking at some of the suggestions and options on the list to take into consideration. She has a budget in mind which makes things much more complicated but also fun.I know I mentioned (with the emphasis on I) that Cartier, Chopard and Omega will not be taken into consideration, since I did not like the bracelet. However, she liked to have a look at them, so we did and actually with some positive outcomes. Also, all the watches below are case size 31mm – 34 mm max.

Chopard Happy Sport (30mm); she really likes this as a good alternative to the AP, it’s an automatic and no date, but may be a bit bulky.

·         Panthere de Cartier (medium); she also likes this very much, due to the thin case and it will go with everything. It’s a quartz as well, yellow gold, but preference is rose gold. Will go with everything.

·         GP Laureato (34mm); she is not fully convinced on this on and we could not try the model without the diamond bezel; this is also a quartz which could work from a rush perspective.

·         Omega aqua terra (34mm); bulky and will likely be off the list.

·         Rolex; no, does not even want to consider it; I do think it looks nice on her wrist.

AP RO (33mm); she really likes the AP, – it’s a quartz, but this may work for her as she generally rushes. It will not go with all her outfits, but with most. However, pricing is an issue.

This orientation session gave her some food for thought and also complicated things, but also made things easier. Nevertheless, she has not decided yet and I will keep you posted.

Thanks and kind regards,

sc16

You have a challenge there...

She has such an elegant and gracefully petite form, so I think we should not ruin it with a hockey puck. Even the RO looks too much. My wife has a similar problem, limiting what she can wear (thankfully!) Of those pics so far, the Cartier by miles because it is the 'right size' IMHO Hmmm, I'll have a think Velo

have you considered other choices such as the jaeger le coultre master ultra thin, breitling galactic 36 automatic (very feminine watch) and glasshütte original lady serenade? [nt]

Thanks...

no, we haven't. I have quickly checked it, but both Breilting and Glashutte are 36mm which will not work with her wrist. The glashutte pavonina (31mm) may work, but the bracelet is different so may not be suitable for everyday wear - i will check it.

Yes, the Cartier looks good indeed.

That was unexpected... but it is such a classy feminine watch that definitely a strong contender. She must also think whether looking for fitting with all outfits or the ones she wears the most.

Mainly regarding her wrist, I would go for the GP, Rolex and Cartier in this order

Best wishes Alkiro
