FanFrancisco introduces Klokers, a micro watch brand, and its unique approach to time display with the KLOK-01 and KLOK-02 models. This post highlights the brand's innovative design philosophy, focusing on affordable watches with modern aesthetics and interchangeable systems, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary horology.

you would wonder why i used "Machines to travel through time" for the title of this post which also made you like to click on this post to see further what this post about because for most fellows here are sensitive to something relating to "time machines", right.

last night, was honor of meeting Mr Richard Piras, CEO of Klokers and his sales director, Mr Michel Pescio, a new micro watch brand from Swiss which started from this year as he was in town and on his way of traveling to this region.

upon meeting him, honestly i haven't heard of this brand before and have no idea what their watches about.

i met and talked to Richard over the coffee, he shared with me how they started this brand and the idea created behind their watches which they like to watch in affordable price with modern look.

so far, they have designed and are making two models, namely KLOK-01 (time only with hour, minute, and second rotating discs displaying with rule like) and KLOK-02 (minute and second retrograde with 24 cities in display window, apparently this watch can be used like a perpetual calendar watch).

as you may know, the movement used in these Klokers watches is quartz rather mechanic one. however it is not just a simple quartz that typically we have in mind. in fact, it contains micro-motor inside to drive the rotating discs or retrograde minute and second hands etc which forms the interesting part of their watches. If my memory is correctly recalled, there is another brand called Devon also micro-rotor to drive time displays, but that one is huge in size.

despite of different way of displaying time, they aimed to make each of their watches with exchangeable straps in an easy way. in order to do this, they designed something like a docking we see for laptop, simply pressing a bottom at 8 o'clock position of the case, the watch can be automatically come off from the strap. in addition to use this to exchange with other straps, the watch case can be placed on the leather holder that used as desk clock or used as a pocket watch, one watch for three different usages which is a pretty good idea to me.

have taken some pics of these watches for your viewing pleasure.

I\'ve been eyeing off Klok-1 for a little while. I do like the concept. Very clever and eye catching . If only it was mechanical and not quartz! (Sigh)
