Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, provides a detailed look at the updated Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar & Jumping Date, launched in 2020. This article serves as an essential reference for collectors interested in the evolution of JLC's calendar complications, highlighting the thoughtful design of its jumping date mechanism. Emmanuel meticulously documents various references, showcasing the steel and rose gold iterations, including the limited edition blue dial.

Following up on my recent thread dedicated to the Master Control Chronograph Calendar, here's the Calendar & Jumping Date (in French, 'Quantième & Date Sautante', as written at the bottom of the dial, where the date pointer jumps from 4:30 to 7:30 in order to never cover the moon phase). It's the updated edition launched in 2020.

With a 40 x 10.95 mm case and caliber 866, it's a very good looking watch.

You can find here a review and great photos by amanico.

Have a great weekend!

Best,
Emmanuel

I would nonetheless choose the rose gold version, which appeals to me even more (as almost always...).

But, as almost always, I personally feel more attracted to the rose gold version!

With steel, it looks monochromatic indeed.

but I would certainly keep one like you if I did!

It's my personal favorite (but I'm always attracted to rose gold)... Best, Emmanuel

But JLC simply has too many great options to choose from, and especially the Reverso for a dress watch. My next purchase will be the most challenging to determine of my life thus far - 1921 - Overseas - Reverso.... I will have all three at some point, the question is which one comes first 😉....
