I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't create a Club which would gather all the Geophysic Fans.

The idea came on one Sunday while I was attending a deal between two friends.

After all, isn't the Geophysic a purist watch?

Its intrinseque value is inside, at the contrary of a show off piece: Discrete, elegant ( which sounds almost redundant ), this small watch brings so much pleasure and satisfaction to his owner.

I love the concept behind these 2 words " Intrinseque Value "... To me, it often is very personal, " intuitu personae ", an intimate relation between the owner and the watch.

A keeper, a family treasure, to be transmitted to the next generations, as the Poets say. smile

Here is the one I recently saw...

You will notice that it comes with its original plexy, with the famous radium dots ( which is pretty rare to see, to say all ), the delicate grained dial, the original hands, and the famous blue sticker which perpetuates the legend of tis origins.

Feel free to share YOUR Geophysic, here, and, if you don't have the watch, your love for it.

Best,

Nicolas.

You speak my heart

I couldn't agree more that this watch -almost like no other- embodies the notion of intrinsic values, which reveal themselves to the owner/admirer because he truly cares and appreciates the discreetness and charm of this watch. No, unfortunately, I don't own a Geophysic, but my hopes, that one day JLC will release a re-edition are still high. A question to you: How much does one have to spend on a Geophysic in very good condition? (I apologize to bring up the question of money for it shouldn't r

A watch for connoisseur, indeed.

Put a Rolex Daytona 116 520 and a Geophysic side by side... Show both of them to neophytes. What would be the score? Out of 10, let's say that Rolex will win 9 times out of ten. Now, try the same thing with WIS... The contrary will happen. As for the value of a nice Geophysic, the range would be somewhere between 10 and 15 K Euros, I fear... Best, Nicolas.
