Nicolas, known as 'amanico' on WatchProSite, initiates a compelling discussion on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time, a reference he champions as one of the Manufacture's most significant and accessible watches of the past seven years. His post delves into a critical aesthetic and practical choice for collectors: the watch on its original strap versus the integrated bracelet. Nicolas invites the community to weigh in on this pivotal decision, highlighting how each option dramatically alters the watch's character.

Both OEM strap and bracelet a bit under parr on this one. Cheers JML
Takes on a more practical look IMO Cheers, Kurt.
certainly adds to it.
Bracelet is great for summer though. However, what keep me from grabbing that watch are those two screws on the dial. I'm only willing to tolerate them if the slots are both perfectly vertical. Back when it was still in the catalog, I used to check JLC displays wherever I went, in case there was a specimen with the right execution. Alas, the screws (stars?) never aligned....
Even today, I can´t understand how a brand like JLC couldn´t find another solution to hold the dial to the movement. Much more than they couldn´t make these screws align in the vertical. But it is a most beautiful watch no doubt. Best, Abel
... because of heat resistance, being able to wear them in the pool, etc. I have the Master Hometime on what looks like the same bracelet and it is very comfortable. best Andreas
