Hs111 celebrates the arrival of his new Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time, completing a 'charming trio' of modern Geophysic models. His post provides an initial hands-on impression of the UT, highlighting its movement and complications, and showcases a family photo of his stainless steel Geophysic collection.

Friends, just recently, some 10 days or so, having picked up, my new
Geophysic UT ( Universal Time).

Also I have shared my initial joy & pleasure with a
little Collage earlier this week.

Meanwhile I've had it on my wrist quite a bit, and really have enjoyed
this new arrival. Has been a repeated happy vista to look down on my wrist..

The UT has been issued by JLC together with another 3-hands model,
yet with date, the True Second, as a horological little twist, but no UT.

I just thought to share a few early shots, featuring this little family
now, as she presents herself:
- The year before, I among many others have acquired the TT Geophysic,
ss version, that has been coming with the crosshair dial.

Thus, after recent new arrival, I tried to just put this Trio together, all in ss,
the current members of the modern Geophysic with her "family"..

Here some few pics, featuring these timepieces:

Geophysic UT

A glimpse on to a pretty nice movement,
with the RG Rotor and the new Balance wheel shape

Cal 772 with TS & UT modules

Note the nice partial view of the
GyroLab Balance wheel
( upper part of pic @ ~11, above the bridge arc)

Here the noble Trio:

Left: TT Geophysic 58, mid: UT, Rt: True Second

What may not be obvious immediately, these are close relatives,
but the UT came out with this horological twist,
of a " Seconde Morte" ( Dead Beat) & the Universal time module,
in a new Automatic movement, which in fact is quite attractive.

Of some note are the different diameters of the three:
- for the TT Geophysic 58 : 38,5 mm
- for the True Second: 39,6 mm
- for the Universal Time: 41,6 mm

One more shot :

Another Threesome..

Nevertheless, IMHO, each of the members, wears in a nice
proportion, and also well balanced on the wrist..

To conclude, just some little final UT wristshot

Real joy, comfy & with a pleasant appeal

On a humble personal note, I have to say,
there have been two very nice arrivals for the family..

Hopefully, you liked this brief weekend share a bit,
.. I do - really a lot !

Cheers & Best,
hs smile smile

Wait a minute... Are you trying to tell us that you also bought the True Second?

Or did you just have the opportunity to take a family picture? Best, Nicolas

No, no !., that would have been pure redundancy.. Yes, just some nice time to take the family pic !! ;)))

No, worries, my friend ! - Often the truck is still pretty fast, but not that fast , nor crazy !! Best, my dear friend !! hs

Well, it could have been a cool idea to build a collection on the Geophysic...

But you would have to go for a vintage, which is problematic to find and fund... Best, Nicolas

Well.. If we both remember, several weeks/months ago.. :((

But I decided for the modern; even that I have the feeling that this passing was mistake, but.. - You cannot have it all.. And BTW: I absolutely love the new UT ! Best, my friend & Thx, hs
