Cazalea's "Wearing all my watches now" series offers a unique glimpse into a collector's diverse tastes and the personal stories behind each timepiece. This installment, Part 3, focuses on black-dialed watches, many featuring complex complications, providing a rich visual and narrative experience for enthusiasts. Cazalea shares not just the watches, but also the context of his daily life, making the collection relatable and engaging.

This is becoming a lot of work! My room is strewn with watches, shirts, camera lens wiping cloths, and assorted props. Luckily my wife is humoring me and helping out.

Here are more - today my theme is black dial, some with complications ...

#21 MIH (calendar watches are tell on you -- this one implied that I haven't worn it since June)

#22 My favorite watch in the collection, the IWC GST Perpetual Moonphase Chronograph - in the outdoors

and inside showing some lume. Hmmm - it looks like the year is getting a jump on changing. It's got a week to go! (but it is a very slow change on the year)

#23 Its brother, the IWC GST Split Seconds Chronograph (collaboration Kurt Klaus and RIchard Habring) the watch complication J-C Biver says is more difficult to make than a tourbillon.

#24 A selfie of the Seiko Flight Master Chronograph Automatic with ceramic bezel, power reserve and titanium case, while wearing obligatory Eurozone safety vest.

#25 The Girard-Perregaux ww.tc chronograph world timer

It was on my wrist until noon.

Noon has now passed and I am doing adventurous things around the house, like changing fluorescent tubes in the lamps high atop the sunken living room, and reformatting iPhones, and cleaning dust out from behind my cluster of iMacs and external drives. This is about as dangerous as it gets for me this weekend (I hope), although I will be cooking for 20+ people tomorrow, so maybe some photos from the kitchen would be nice?

Here are some black-dialed watches that are made for adventurers...

#26 Bell & Ross Space 3

#27 Out in the garden with my Gerald Genta Gefica Safari Chronograph (bronze case)

zooming out to show the blooming agave plant - if you didn't see it earlier this whole flower spike is about 6 weeks old. It grows visibly longer every day.

#28 Continuing my adventures in our enormous canyon, I donned the Zenith P15 for a little December afternoon sunshine exploring

#29 The Seiko Land Master, as I am master of all I survey (down to the fence, anyway)

I noticed two Very Late Tomatoes on the vines! IDon't they know it's winter?

#30 Finally, since the theme is adventure dial watches, here's my GS SBGM001 and a bottle of wine I am afraid to open. Does anyone know this wine??

I think Saint Nicolas is warning me not to touch it!

That's 10 watches for today

....when I come back to thinking about adding one. This is a great thread, 100 watches, 10 days. Some would say EPIC!

but luckily not my wife (yet) Yes, I bought both a long time ago in human terms, but just a moment's span of time for a mechanical watch movement. Remember, the IWC comes with an extra century slide (in sealed vial) for a watchmaker to insert to extend its life a few centuries longer!

Really like the look of the MIH - complicated but understated at the same time. Calendar watches are good at shaming you my Master Moon suggested that it was nearly 5 months since I last wrote it. It's now on my wrist for the duration of the holidays. Cheers JML
