Last week, 7 March, IWC had their media launch in Singapore at  venue simulating an air-base, a "hanger"  and  the Top Gun flight school.

Venue was at 39 Keppel Road, near to the one of the busiest ports in the Asia.

A giant art gallery ....

Upon entering, sound of jet fighters taking off could be heard and once a while a sonic-bomb of a fighter flown passed smile

Very real ambience!

The simulated "top gun" briefing area ...

The Collections ...

On the Commander's desk ...

His jacket ... nice patches!

Coordinate of the school ...

Drink and fly ...so its not DUI, its FUI smile

The media seated and the Commander stepped in ...

 Presenting the mission ...

Commander Goris Verburg (for that day), otherwise Managing Director of South East Asia at IWC Schaffhausen

Briefing through the SIHH 2012 Collections ...

Ready for action ...

Showcasing some of the latest IWC Collections ....

A continuum of the 'Fatther and Son" ...

The 'boy size' version fit the lady's wrist nicely ...

Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN (Ref. 3880)  and  Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Miramar (Ref. 5019)

Both chronographs together ... case of high-tech ceramic,  diameter 46mm.
Crown and pushers are in titanium.  Case is rated to a high of 6 bar for water resistance.

The caseback - solid ...with soft iron cage within ...

The World Timer on the left , Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Miramar (Ref. 5019) and Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN (Ref. 5019) GUN (Ref. 5019)

The signed titanium crown ...

Microblasted matt stainless steel buckle ...

Still the most interesting of this 2012 collections - the Top Gun Miramars Duo.

Sapphire anti-reflective coated both sides offering superior clarity and legibility ...

The green textile strap complete the whole look!

A wrist shot on Captain Mike Eng, the Sales Manager of IWC South East Asia with a pair of lovely cuff-links!

On a lady's wrist - Sidney Pang, Marketing Executive IWC South East Asia ... looks a bit oversized smile but maybe able to pull it off.

Thanks Kong

certainly hope to see the Miramars in person soon. Actually for a press briefing the attendance was pretty good. Didn't know there were so many watch journalists in Singapore.

Two great things.

One is missing: The hostesses... My God! One is here: The Khaki straps, which are gorgeous. The watches? Hmmmm. Jocker. Best, Nicolas

Thank you for the "briefing", Kong!

Looks like a very nice event! I wasn't invited to a hanger - but I had the chance to see the Miramar in the metal. A very cool and strong watch! Thank you for sharing. Best Blomman
