Emmanuel, known as 'quattro' on WatchProSite, provides an invaluable overview of the revived IWC Ingenieur lineup, detailing the various models introduced since 2023. This comprehensive post serves as an essential reference for collectors seeking to understand the current generation of this iconic IWC series. His meticulous breakdown, complete with reference numbers and movement details, highlights the brand's strategic expansion of the Ingenieur collection.

Since the introduction of the revived IWC Ingenieur line in 2023, several models have been added.

Here they are. All are 10.0 bar water resistant.

If you want to read more about the history of the IWC Ingenieur, Denis Peshkov wrote an excellent and extensive article for Monochrome.

Best, Emmanuel

I owned the Aqua, which was fun for a while. But I ended up selling it in favor of my GP Laureato 38 mm in blue. Of all the ones you have pictured , I am intrigued the most by the blue dial, well, because I’m a blue junkie, and F1 novelty , because I think that shade of green and gold are compelling together. Have a great week my friend!

the solid case back models are the only one to make total sense. But not all watch enthusiasts care about that, so I guess it was a rather good choice (at least from a commercial standpoint) to give customers the choice. After all, if someone likes the design, yet wants a display case back, why not? Best, Emmanuel

I think I would personally stick to the steel/black dial or titanium here. Best, Emmanuel

I’ve personally opted for the grey dial Alpine Eagle. And if I had to choose one of these Ingenieur, I’d probably pick the titanium or the steel/black dial. For me, each of these watches is nice in its own way. The IWC is probably the most toolish looking and I understand the appeal. Best, Emmanuel

It’s a shame they went with a style of bracelet that is already present on the Portugieser line. Unfortunately, overall it’s a pass even with further drops in the secondary market. This comes not from a place of dislike of IWC. Out of all brands, it is the one I bought the most watches from. My personal favourite of all IWC Ingenieur generations is the one that came immediately after the Genta. I believe it is reference 3303 as shown here (pictures from Bulang & Sons):

I think my personal favorite would be the Graph paper Ingenieur SL. Best, Emmanuel
