the solid case back models are the only one to make total sense. But not all watch enthusiasts care about that, so I guess it was a rather good choice (at least from a commercial standpoint) to give customers the choice. After all, if someone likes the design, yet wants a display case back, why not? Best, Emmanuel
For us (me) purist, an ingenieur should have magnetic protection. If not ,there are many choices of time only integrated bracelet watches, from low end to high end.
I owned the Aqua, which was fun for a while. But I ended up selling it in favor of my GP Laureato 38 mm in blue. Of all the ones you have pictured , I am intrigued the most by the blue dial, well, because I’m a blue junkie, and F1 novelty , because I think that shade of green and gold are compelling together. Have a great week my friend!
I’ve personally opted for the grey dial Alpine Eagle. And if I had to choose one of these Ingenieur, I’d probably pick the titanium or the steel/black dial. For me, each of these watches is nice in its own way. The IWC is probably the most toolish looking and I understand the appeal. Best, Emmanuel
Enjoy!
