When it was released at the end of the 90's, it was a legend, a myth, a strange rare bird.

The mechanical depth gauge in a wrist watch was an innovation in the mid 60's ( Nivada Grenchen and Favre Leuba ) and then disappeared for some 30 years. The Deep One is a modern come back, then.

That was a hot piece.

And a strong character.

Best,

Nicolas

Reminds me this Aquatimer I was in love with in high school, but obviously never could get my hands on :

The brand was mainly “Engineered for Men” 😜✌️ The Deep One is a great watch! I really missed the sandblasted titanium aquatimer, which IMO was the undisputed “tool watch” back then before Sinn.

Wearing it today. Took me a while to find the rubber strap. It was never offered for Deep One, but the strap from Aquatimer ref. 3536 fits perfectly. MrkK
