Last June, I received my Grönefeld Remontoire from Bart and Tim.

Helicopter view smile of the movement. I have a loupe in my office to marvel at the movement during microbreaks.

The Remontoire mechanism. A clever mechanism (/buffer) to maintain torque on the escape wheel virtual constant. Plus, it is a delight to see the mechanism shift every eight seconds.

Spring stud held by swan neck.

Mirror polished surfaces on the ratchet wheel/screw.

Click and spring. A proper click and a proper spring.

The dial. Modern, yet classic. And very lively. Different shades of silver and, when subjected to direct sunlight, sparkles. Really well executed, imo.

The case and lugs, with (many) alternating convex and concave surfaces. As with the dial, the design is modern and indeed bold, yet balanced and classic.

This watch is a joy to wear and, in view of its size and esthetics, it is suitable imo to wear every day and on almost every occasion (although I would not take it for a swim). I have added it to my most frequent wearers. The stunning Nautilus for warm days and swimming, the lovely chronograph and the modern Remontoire for cooler days.
