Greubel Forsey has also unveiled some fresh pieces or version of existing watches.

From past experience, though big sized, I love their case's shape. However, what is the most impressive element is that it is one of the best finishing available. Not only the decoration are top notch but the technical choices are very spohisticated too.

I extracted texts from the official website for description purposes.

Cheers, Mark

SIGNATURE 1 (SIGNATURE Lign)

I understand from the following description that the brand will start asking external watchmakers to collaborate for exclusive timepieces. This is the first project for this line-up.

Interesting figures: the case is 41.4 x 11.7 mm which is much smaller a size than we are used to seeing from GF. This is an excellent news for people who thought GF watches were too big for their wrist.

"For each of the new Signature creations, one talented watchmaker will elaborate his or her timepiece within Greubel Forsey’s universe. Drawing on ou resources, such as components, the watchmaker will operate following Greubel Forsey’s philosophy, and benefit from the skills and expertise specific to our watchmaking Atelier. This watchmaker will co-sign the creation with Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey.

Didier J.G. Cretin – a brilliant watchmaker and longtime team member at Greubel Forsey – is introducing this new line with the Signature 1. For the first time in the history of Greubel Forsey, he has created a manually wound watch with three hands, without a tourbillon function, which instead features an exclusively designed Greubel Forsey balance and an all-gold dial. The hands are finished and countersunk by hand."

This timepiece will be released in a unique edition of 33 pieces in gold (around 187 K€)and platinum (around 209 K€). In addition to this, 33 steel-cased pieces are available by advance order (around 170 K€).

DOUBLE BALANCIER (DOUBLE BALANCIER 35° Lign)

This one is a really impressive piece.

"Greubel Forsey exclusively presents the first Double Balancier à Différentiel Constant.

This new mechanism redefines the limits of timekeeping. Two inclined balances optimise performance in a stable position, while a constant spherical differential provides more steady amplitude.

Aesthetically, this timepiece catches the eye with powerful three-dimensional aspects, opening wide to the heart of the mechanism. We are diving into an architectural world built on many levels, a miniature city constructed between the balances whose inclination is almost dizzying."

This is a unique edition of 33 white gold pieces.

VISION (Tourbillon 24 seconds lign)

This is a red gold version of the watch which won an Aiguille d'Or this year. I find this material color combination nicer than the colder first version.

“...this year we are presenting an all-new version of the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision, which stands out by virtue of its sobriety and simplicity of appearance. The white gold case has made

way for red gold, while the dial has adopted an anthracite hue – a striking contrast which creates an air of assured elegance. The case keeps its slender proportions, while in order to house and display the Tourbillon 24 Secondes, a sapphire dome has been carved out on the timepiece’s display back, which forms a subtle vertical asymmetry.

This timepiece is the absolute essence of refinement with its enamelled indications on the solid gold dial, the hand-finished hands, or the lower tourbillon bridge, whose “barrelled and polished” surface requires extremely rare expertise. Each bridge is discreetly signed by the Movement Finisher who completed it."

(Around 322 K€)

Makes sense

GF would lower their price of admission in today\'s downmarket.

Indeed, this started with the Vision

and now adding another non-tourbillon model with the same exceptionnal finishing level. Still not that affordable imho but much less expensive. Cheers, Mark

Dare I ask

How much for the first model in your post? It\'s - as far as my tastes go - their yummiest yet! Best E.

You can but I don't have the answer E.

This is a question I wanted to ask the Parisian retailer about the first version of the Vision model, but didn't yet. I'll try to get it and report when I can. Cheers, Mark

150,000 CHF

That\'s what I read somewhere on the net. A lot cheaper than previous GF! Personally I\'m disappointed that GF has to make these kinds of concessions, I wish they could stay making ultra high end tourbillon. Unfortunately in today\'s economy that\'s just not possible.

Yeah...

I saw that too. This kind of downmarket mass production and discounting is tragic. Why, it\'s virtually Walmart prices. At this rate they\'ll soon be as ubiquitous as hen\'s teeth... I don\'t mind at all that they move a bit downwards from the market of the 0.000001% to the, hmmm, 0.001%. Mostly because I\'m basically uninterested in tourbillons. I actually prefer beautifully-designed and, well-implemented \'regular\' balance wheels - which this looks to be. So for GF to introduce such a simple,
