This post offers a valuable historical snapshot of GP's strategy and product focus during a significant transition year.
Friends,
This year was the year Girard-Perregaux moved back to Geneva, after many years in Basel.
And Girard-Perregaux entered SIHH in style!
On the outside, some beautiful displays…
On display: Current production, La Esmeralda…
Neo Toubillon in Pink Gold.
Novelties: Laureato Tourbillon…
Neo Bridges…
And many, many more…
But let’s go inside!
Well inside, great hospitality!
The ladies had a stressful task to make sure the schedule and all appointments run smoothly.
The hall with the book of Girard-Perregaux in the centre.
The book is in fact a real book, you could turn the pages and read about the Girard-Perregaux history!
All the displays around the hall are packed with GP artefacts.
Three Golden Bridges…
La Esmeralda showing all her beautiful sides! Inside…
And outside!
Some very spectacular pieces…
A lot of which you can read about in the book!
More recent history was also on display: the Laureato history.
From the very beginning up until today.
As you might have guessed, the big number this year is the Laureato.
Last page in the book shows all of the different models released this year of the Laureato!
A fantastic exhibition! Huge thank you to the GP and the team at SIHH for their great hospitality!
Of course, there was more but… Stay tuned!
Best
Blomman
The stands at the show seem very elaborate. Thanks for sharing. Bill
It was like we were there. Aris
2011 or was it in 2012? Only the new watches changed! Best, my friend. Nicolas
it makes us feel like being there.
Just checked GP's website. We gotta celebrate because they have manufactured many size, 45 (too big )42 ( big) and 38, the perfect size. (10600 CHF) Today i wrote that the integrated sporty watches (Genta's sons) lost some of their beauty when the bracelet is replaced with a strap. I think that if GP took some wise decisions and stepped into a wiser policy: High end watches to keep memory of the heritage (3 bridges and turbo) Enhance the Laureato's line Neo Bridges is stunning (24300 CHF), micro
Is there some reason invading some brands' brain? Best, Nicolas
