Amanico's exploration of the Girard Perregaux Richeville Day Night offers a timely look at a timepiece that, despite its age, retains remarkable freshness and appeal. His detailed photographs and initial impressions invite collectors to revisit this distinctive model, highlighting its unique regulator display and elegant tonneau case. This article delves into why this particular reference continues to captivate enthusiasts years after its introduction.

This is an old watch. More than 10 years old. Who can believe it, as it is still very fresh.

An original regulator, with its arrow pointing the hour displayed on a 24 hours ring, a power reserve indicator, and a small seconds.

AND its sublime tonneau case.

I will come back to this watch, one day.

Best,

Nicolas

GP has such gems in their back catalog. It can be a lot to sift through though

It’s very striking, I was entranced from afar, but I never bought one. β€œ Regulator Watches - watches which display the time on hands with separate shafts (arbors). In addition, many combinations of revolving hours, jump hours, and other novel displays.” Cazalea
