Aquaracer1's long-awaited acquisition of the Girard Perregaux Laureato 38mm in blue marks a significant moment for any collector. This article delves into the journey of securing a grail watch, highlighting the unique challenges and triumphs involved in international watch collecting. Aquaracer1's experience offers valuable insights into navigating the intricacies of the secondary market and personalizing a new timepiece.

I found it on one of the big watch listing sites . It was an international shipment from Europe, so the dealer and I agreed the reptile strap should be removed prior to shipment. I didnβt want to deal with CITES on top of the 2 day customs delayβ¦ It came with an AD card, but no box. So I saved my GP box from previous 42 mm Laureato, and voila! We have a full set! π
This is a very special one to me, a grail I have been chasing for 2 years! And now the dream is a reality ππ»
Most appreciated ! ππ» Me too, until next week my friend ! π»
Huge congrats! 38mm is the perfect size
Hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. The Laureato 38mm has become my most worn watch by far since I got it⦠Enjoy it and wear it in best of health. Jan
The 38 mm case size fits my 7 inch wrist perfectly . Thanks!
