Amanico's post revisits the Girard Perregaux Opera One, a timepiece that masterfully combines a tourbillon with a minute repeater carillon. This piece, despite its notable thickness, continues to captivate collectors and serves as a testament to Girard Perregaux's horological ambition. His images invite us to appreciate the intricate details and grand complications that define this exceptional reference.

Tourbillon AND Minute Repeater Carillon.

When Girard made us dream...

A bit thick, though...

But not at the point to make me stop dreaming.

Best,

Nicolas

It really is just not my type of watch as I find both the size of the bezel and the case thickness of the watch off putting. Marc

I've handled a similar one live and find this bezel wide but rather stylish in its own right. IMHO, nowadays bezels are thin to make watches look bigger/wider, but it is not necessarily better, just different.
