Some official pictures of one of my favorite modern Girard Perregaux, the Neotourbillon Black. Young, fresh, artistic, contemporary. This watch revisits the legendary Tourbillon with bridges from Girard Perregaux. Very high in my wish list! Best, Nicolas

Yes, "stunning" would be the only word that fits this one.

But, dear Nicolas, may we discuss an element I never see mentioned in these pages—to wit: the way the hands are fastened to the stems/shafts? that connect them to the gears below. I bring this up because in this case something different seems to be going on. Do I detect a mother-of-pearl cap? How fitting that these beautiful hands be "capped" so elegantly. But what lies beneath the cap? Perhaps a hexagonal slot? Or are they simply press-fit onto the end of a shaft? Well… whatever the case, it is

No hexagonal slot. This is a trick of the picture. The hands are deliciously brushed. [nt]

OK, but what about the mother of pearl cap? I've not seen this before. [nt]

Not MOP. A trick of the light. [nt]

You can see it's not MOP when you view the last photo

Thank you! But is it not a cover of some sort? [nt]
