Jlux's hands-on review of the Girard Perregaux Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition offers a crucial perspective often missing from initial press releases. His detailed photographs and observations highlight the watch's true aesthetic and tactile qualities, which he notes are significantly more impressive in person than in official marketing materials. This article delves into why this particular Laureato reference stands out in the luxury sports watch landscape.
The 42mm green ceramic Aston Martin limited edition.

Funny enough, when released earlier this year,my reaction was pretty lukewarm judging the watch by the press photos.
That changed completely when I had the opportunity to experience the watch in real : the execution of the colour, quality of the ceramic work and the beautiful dial won me over immediately.
Very difficult also to render the exact colour of the Aston Martin green ceramic : not british racing green but somewhat darker with blue undertones

The dial is of a slightly different green with a typical Aston Martin pattern.
I salute GP that they created a matching green background for the day window.

Not obvious in static pictures but the metallic shine of the dial makes for an ever changing light play ...with different shades of green.

This is about the best executed ceramic case/bracelet that I have seen : the look and feel is very luxurious.
Here some impressions :

The 1800 movement is very capable, well finished ....and fits the size of the case.
Luckily, the discrete "Aston Martin" logo on the back is the only visible reference to the collaboration between the brands.

I have added a wrist shot in natural light that shows probably better the light play of the dial.
Thanks for looking,
Gerard
