Seeing some beautiful pics of the new Ingenieur has piqued my interest about how it compares to the Laureato. 42 mm versus 40 mm.  Now when I first discovered the GP, I bought the 38 mm, which actually wore more like a 36, a bit too small for my liking. I own the 42 mm, which is a nice size, but on occasion I wonder if my 7 inch wrist would better benefit from a 40 mm in this integrated bracelet sports watch category. Now I am compelled to try the IWC on! Full disclosure, I haven’t tried the IWC on yet. I do think the GP bezel has more character, and I’m partial to that shade of blue versus the dial color of IWC! Now time to see it in person… What say the purists? Do you prefer one over the other based on aesthetics or fit? Cheers!

I tend to lean towards that GP which looks great on your wrist 🙂

But, you need to try that Ingy someday. I was surprised how much I liked it when I tried it on.

Thank you!

Good call. If I’ve learned anything in this hobby of 15 years, it’s no conclusions can be drawn until you try it on 😉 May I ask what you liked most about the Ingy? Looks great on your wrist! Depending on the source of lighting , I’ve seen that version look anything from navy blue to teal! Seems like a real chameleon

The overall watch and its size...

But the bracelet was a major part of it. The dial was a bit questionable due to the busy print. Maybe that's why my preference went for the white dial...

🤩

Nice! I can see why the overall watch, and especially size at 40 mm is attractive . The Laureato and Ingy are very close when it comes to case thickness . Actually, I think their sleekness measures exactly the same! What size is your wrist?
